Peppy, Penny Bank.

Hey! What is it? Is it a dumbbell? Is it a penny bank? No! It´s both! Haha!

With Peppy, you will increase your muscles, and your bank account!

This is the only dumbbell in the world that will help you to save money, and, in fact, will pay itself in the end. And it´s the only penny bank in the world that will make you healthier and wealthier!

This silicone coated penny bank is supposed to come in five vivid colors, each one representing a different  size and poundage, and of course, it will also be available in classic white.

It will also come with a super-metaphorical-buddhist-zen lesson: When it gets so heavy that you can´t carry it anymore, just brake it an move on! ;)

  FASTFOOD - Fruit bowl

I guess the name "fast food" is a little misused nowadays, you know, fruits are the fastest kind of food I´ve ever seen!

However, I don´t really know why, I think conventional fast food packages are kind of cool (maybe because they´ve been brainwashing us since we were kids?).

So I thought: fruits+fast food packaging = cool fruit bowl

I think we should change our concepts, so why don´t you go buy yourself some apples or bananas instead of getting yourself a hamburger?

 Cutlery Toolkit

I always loved the way tools are displayed in old garages and hardware shops, you know, it´s so graphical!

Those silhouettes have always fascinated me!

I´m just trying to bring more fun and surprise to the kitchen, which is already a great place to have a good time with friends and family.

For tough cookers only! ;)

Message Package - Collective Memories in ID n°2

This is my attempt to create a concept that merges a really natural behavior with a really common product, to bring more fun to our lives.
People just can´t resist reading labels and leaflets while using the toilet or taking a shower. This makes them a really good and funny medium for a notepad, right? It looks like a design opportunity to me!

Time...

Photobucket
I´ve been thinking a lot about time lately, so I came up with these two pretty crazy ideas for wall clocks!

Time Flies - Click on the image to make it larger

Well, this first one is called Time Flies, and I guess there´s no need to write about it´s concept, because it pretty much speaks for itself, right?

Little Time - Click on the image to make it larger

Well, I was listening to a Keane´s song called "Everybody´s changing" on the radio, and I had this idea. For those who don´t know this song, the chorus says something like "So little time,
Try to understand that I'm...". It´s a cool song! Well, so I came up with the Little Time clock.

Alfred, The Hit Cock - Door stopper

Here is another design inspired by Alfred Hitchcock!

I don´t actually know why Mr.Hitchcock inspires me that much, but I couldn´t resist making a bit of word puzzling with his name this time.

This poor rooster´s task is to keep your doors from slamming and he will accomplish this hard mission even if it costs his own life!

It´s supposed to come with a customization kit, so you can sew up some bandages or stitches to heal your friend and make this task easier for him.

Pyscho Plunger - Collective Memories in ID n°1.

I´m trying to aggregate behaviorist properties of famous objects, cognitive motions and collective memories to everyday, ordinary products. This is the first of a series of concepts called Collective Memories in ID.

This plunger is obviously inspired by Alfred Hitchcock, Psycho, from 1960.

Do me a favor, would you? If this product ever reaches the market, please, don´t go plunge your girlfriend´s mouth when she starts to talk about relationship stuff in the middle of your tv soccer game and this kind of crazy stuff, right? ;)

A playful toothpick holder design, designed by me and managed by my friends and partners from Studio Mango.

A couple of months ago, I received a brief, asking if I could design a few animal inspired tableware designs...So I did it.

Just pick your pine, porcupine!

You can actually buy this one! It´s currently being produced and sold by SUCK UK.

Click HERE if you wish to buy one of this incredibly cute little table creatures!

This design is made from food grade silicone rubber.

Ps: No porcupine was harmed during the production of this design.

Cartola trash can

The top hat was once a symbol of status but for me it looks much better as a trash can!

We also know the top hat as part of those old school magician shows.

Unfortunately this top hat is not a magical item and you probably won´t take a white rabbit from it...

Although, it will make your trash disappear!

By the way, "Cartola" means top hat in Portuguese...You probably guessed it already, I suppose.

We´re going to produce it here in South America, but the production license is still avalailable for the rest of the world.

The Fishcage

Click on the image to make it larger.

Everyday we live the illusion of freedom and in fact, we are just like fishes in a bowl.

We are trapped by invisible borders like, ignorance, lies, rules, hypocrisies and old paradigms and concepts.

The fish in the bowl thinks he is free, because he has passed all his life in that condition...So do we.

The Fishcage comes to remember us that the first step to be free is finding the real obstacles that keep us away from the real freedom.

The Fishcage is going to be produced by Sixinch, in 2008.
